Russell is married to Lyndsey McCrory and they have two daughters: Claire and Margaret Ann.  Russell began as our youth pastor in December of 2007.  He is a graduate of Auburn University where he received his degree in Psychology.  He is also a graduate of Beeson Divinity School (Birmingham, AL) where he received his Master of Divinity.  Russell was called into the ministry as a 10th grader and, through various experiences, God called him into youth ministry.  Prior to serving at FBC Guntersville, Russell served as youth pastor of Glynwood Baptist Church in Prattville, AL.  Russell has an extensive background in leading praise and worship and has a heart to see young people worship God with their whole hearts.  Russell's door is always open to any youth who has a need for counsel, advice, or company.
